Model Information
1928-1930
The next size in this series was the Type X, 25-40. It was similar to the earlier Type M, 20-35 but operated at 700 RPM — 65 RPM faster than the “M. In this last series, Rumely changed to a steel gray enamel after using the dark green paint for years. A former Rumely employee relates that the management simply liked the new gray color and adopted it as standard. The type X was also built from 1928 to 1930. Weight was 9,440 pounds. Also apart of the super-light weight class this tractor was still able to pull four 14 in plows or a 10 foot grader. It could handle up to a 32 x 52 Rumely thresher.
