Tractor Info

1920-

Electric Wheel Company walked into the valley of the giants with the “ EWC 80” crawler tractor in the late 1920s. This gigantic rig used a Waukesha Model WK engine — four cylinders with 6 3/4 inch bore and 8-inch stroke, five main bearings, and the famous Ricardo head cylinders. It had a manufacturer’s rating of 110 horsepower at 800 RPM. The advertising literature says nothing about the fuel consumption, which it is assumed must have been considerable since the fuel tank carried 60 gallons.
