Model Information
1961-1968
The Farmall 504 tractor was a three-plow model with approximately 40 drawbar horsepower. Gasoline, propane, or diesel engines were available to suit any demand. High-clearance styles were also available. Torque Amplifier, live hydraulics, indepen dent PTO, power steering, and a 3-point hitch, were all regular features of the Farmall 504 tractors. Farmall 504 diesel tractors featured a four-cylinder IH D-188 engine with a rated speed of 2,200 RPM. Shown with this model is an International 2001 loader, built from 1961 to 1968. It featured improved hydraulics and extensive use of lightweight, high-strength steel tubing in the subframe and boom. Regular tire equipment on the 504 included 12.4-38 rear and 6.00-16 front tires. The low profile International 504 Utility tractors were available with a choice of gasoline, propane, or diesel engines, and used the same equipment as found in the row-crop model Farmall 504. This wide-track version was also available in a high-clearance model. The 504 models were tested at Nebraska under Test Numbers 816, 819 and 820
