With 35 PTO horsepower, the International 454 tractor was perfect for small farms, or as a chore tractor in larger operations. The 454 gasoline-powered model featured an IH four-cylinder engine with a 3 3/8 x 4.390-inch bore and stroke. A 179 CID was derived from the 454 diesel model with its four-cylinder motor of 3.875 x 5.06-inch bore and stroke. Production of the 454 models ran between 1972 and 1973.
