Tractor Info

Fairbanks-Morse claimed to have built their own engine in the little outfit, but it is unlikely, since this is nothing more than a stripped down version of the 10-20 Reliable being built a the time by Reliable Tractor & Engine Company, Portsmouth, Ohio. It was a competitive model in price, but only had one forward speed of 21/2 MPH. A clutch pulley was mounted on the crankshaft for belt work. The two-cylinder 6×7 inch motor operated at 600 RPM; shipping weight was 3,785 pounds. Reliable sold this tractor for $390, and it is likely that the Fair-Morse priced accordingly.
