Model Information
1918
The 14-28 OilPull as a production model emerged in 1917 with a list price of $2,400. Weighing 9,600 pounds, it offered two forward speeds of 2.1 and 3 mph. The 14-28 featured a 2-cylinder engine having a 7 x 8 1/2 inch bore and stroke with a rated speed of 530 rpm. A standard feature was the low tension ignition system utilizing a magneto with mechanically operated igniters. The 14-28 could be retrofitted in the field with high tension ignition. Detailed production records indicate that the 14-28 was built into 1919, with production then being superseded by the 16-30 OilPull. The 16-30 was virtually identical except that it was furnished from the factory with high-tension ignition.
