Besser’s 15-30 tractor featured shielding for all the gearing. Fieldwork subjected the bull gears to large amounts of dirt and sand, and this created excessive wear. The use of enclosed gear covers was a great step forward in tractor design.

Founded in 1904, by Jesse Besser, Besser Manufacturing Company was formed as a block-making machinery business, In 1918, they advertised a 15-30 tractor. Production apparently ended within a short time, since no advertisements or listings appear after 1918. Besser Manufacturing Company is still in business today engineering, manufacturing, supplying, and supporting durable concrete production systems.
