American Tractor Corp made quite a splash with its 1950 announcement of the “Terratrac” crawler tractors. Several innovations pushed the Terratrac into the limelight. These included a three-point hydraulic lift, interchangeable rubber and steel track shoes, and interchangeable track gauges for all row crops. Terratrac had a gasoline and diesel model. Except for the different engines they were identical and were offered from 1951 to 1955. Terratrac was revamped and expanded to include eight different models.
