Muscle Era

The 1960’s was a very powerful decade for the boom of muscle tractors in the agricultural field. During this time there was a high demand for efficiency and power; the result was many companies producing “muscle tractors’. The term Muscle tractors refers to the tractors produced between the 1960’s and the 1980’s that usual featured a 100-plus horsepower and turbochargers. Farmers were looking for something that could complete field work in record time without costing them an extraordinary amount. During this time the top brands competing in the initial muscle tractor launch included John Deere, J.I. Case, and International Harvester.
