Model Information
1911-1912
Production of the IHC Mogul 45 tractor began in 1911. This tractor and the smaller 25 horsepower Mogul Jr. were the first models to emerge from Harvester’s new Tractor Works in Chicago. After this time, production of Mogul tractors was concentrated at the Tractor Works, with the Titan models coming from the Milwaukee Works. A report from the 1910 Winnipeg Motor Competition states that the Mogul 45 was present but not entered in the competition. A total of 583 Mogul 45 tractors were built in 1911. Early Mogul tractors, at least the 1911 models, used but one fender, and it was probably included to protect the operator from a constant shower of dirt. The rear wheels were 72 inches high, with a 24 inch face. Overall width was nine feet-two inches, and top speed was 2-2 1/4 MPH. As in the earlier A, B, C tractors, a large platform gave the operator plenty of working room.
