In a departure from conventional in-line diesel engines, Harvester featured the DV-550 V-8 diesel engine in the 1468 tractor. With this exception, the 1468 was essentially the same as the 1466 model. The V-8 engine developed 145 PTO horsepower at a rated speed of 2,600 RPM and featured a 41/2-inch bore with a 45 5/16-inch stroke. Produc­tion of the 1468 ran from 1971 to 1974. The twin exhaust stacks add a special touch of class.
