1958-1963
Farmall 460 tractors were available in regular and high-clearance styles, and the choice of gasoline, propane, or diesel engines. Rated as a four-plow tractor, the Farmall 50 demonstrated 50-plus horsepower in the Nebraska tractor tests. Gasoline and propane models featured a six-cylinder IH C-221 engine with a 221 CID and a 3.562- x 3.687-inch bore and stroke. This 460 tractor is shown with a mounted disk plow. International 460 Utility tractors carried the same choice of engines available in the Farmall 460 models. The low-profile International 460 combined exceptional stability and visibility with a higher horsepower rating than other IH Utility models. The International 460 Diesel shown here was equipped with a six-cylinder IH D-236 engine having a 3 11/16-inch bore and stroke. The shipping weight was 5,800 pounds. The International 460 was built from 1958 to 1963.
