Model Information
1967-1971
Announced in 1967, the 170 tractors remained in production until 1974. The earlier versions used a hood decal which spelled the model designator — about 1971 this was changed to simply read “170”. The 170 tractors could be furnished with an AC-built gasoline engine. The 170 was also available as a cane tractor, and could be supplied with a shuttle clutch at additional cost. Some of these models were also built as the 170 Landhandler Series. This tractor listed in the Nebraska Tests under No. 966, was rated at 1800 rpm and carried a four-cylinder engine having a 4 x 4 1/2 inch bore and stroke for a 226 CID.
